Table for 2, Catania, La Jolla Restaurant Review

I have eaten a lot of pizza, in my time and being from New York and a Chef who makes her own pizza …. I will say that this is a very different white pie and exceptionally well done.

When you can taste all the different elements and each bite is a different experience, now that’s something to savor over. Chef Patsy comments that it is just the right amount of goat cheese.

Restaurant Review ~ Fresco Cucina, Carlsbad, CA

When I do reviews, it’s not to report everything that goes wrong but rather to highlight what you should order when you go. I have three recommendations:

First, order the Yucca Fries. Everyone at the table was totally ‘wow’d’ by them.

Find out how to prevent food poisoning from fruits and vegetables

I won’t kid you …. Food poisoning from vegetables? It’s a little scary to me. And of course I wonder how much is real and how much is a scare tactic to get you to read what they are writing. We all know that fear sells right?

So I will share the Eating Well article but I also at the same time want to warn you not to take everything as fact. Food being recalled is fact but how much of the fruits and vegetables that go out are really contaminated? That is another story.

The oils that come up the most on labels are: Canola, Sunflower and Safflower. And since lately the manufacturers of many boxed items are using Canola, Sunflower and Safflower Oils and now surprisingly enough, highly processed Palm Oil (because they are cheaper and more readily available), that’s what you get to notice when you shop.
