The Environmental Working Group

Clean 15/Dirty Dozen EWG

Very rarely do I come on here and recommend groups. But as an influencer, I have been asked so many times to step up. So here I am.

If you haven’t heard of The Environmental Working Group or EWG, maybe you’ve heard of the Clean Fifteen, or Dirty Dozen? These are what is recommended to eat organic and what you can skimp on if you are in a cash flow crunch.

For decades I have been supporting this group.

They are out of Washington, DC. Their Dirty Dozen/Clean Fifteen lists are simple but affective. They let you know each year which fruits and vegetables have thick skins, reminding you that you don’t always have to pick Organic to get a ‘safe to eat’ fruit or vegetable.

Today, they are talking about food chemicals to avoid. Here’s the EWG pdf.

They just sent me this today. Keep in mind, they are a non-profit with the goal of

Plant Based Food

keeping you save. They fight to get good legislation in, and take bad legislation out.

They make sure old legislation does not get put back, using different words. And they provide tons of good information to us.

For years, amazon let me contribute a portion of my purchase totals to them. But that doesn’t happen any more.

So I am stepping up, to spread the word. If you can donate, please do. But if nothing else, educate yourself. You will see them referred to as  The Environmental Working Group or EWG. It’s worth it to invest in our (your) future and the future of your family. So if you have an extra $10, $25 or $50, I encourage you to connect and support!
