Table of 3, King of Thai Cuisine, La Jolla and The La Jolla Art & Wine Festival

King of Thai Cuisine, La Jolla

What a fun afternoon that actually starts with 3 of us from Carlsbad Foodies and San Diego Foodies walking around the La Jolla Art & Wine Festival on a beautiful Sunday. I’m sure there are more from our group since more signed up, but only three of us are able to find each other and connect. And just by accident, we stumble into the King of Thai Cuisine. Steve asks Briana, “Do you like Thai”? Sure she does! You know he doesn’t have to ask me! And two minutes later we are seated and now doing this Table of 3, King of Thai Cuisine, La Jolla Restaurant Review.

The review, is a very simple one. You know how you’ve been in Thai Restaurants where the food is just ok? Well, this is actually GOOD Thai Food.

Here’s our review on Yelp:

“This is a really comfortable indoor/outdoor space that allows dogs. It’s food and a show! lol Before I go in, I ask 3 different groups if they are enjoying their meal, or liked their meal, as they go to leave. Everyone says it’s good. We order all the traditional items like Pad Thai, Curry, etc. They get glasses of wine to Briana and I, pronto! Good game plan! And I have to say, with the three of us eating, each of us is totally satisfied. I would say “just try it”. It’s as good if not better than the Thai Restaurant that was in that location, before they took it over” (in case the location seems familiar to you).

Once we finish our meal, we stroll around La Jolla. Briana is looking for a piece of art for her wall at home. Steve is just enjoying our walk. And I am looking at photography and acrylic paintings especially with texture, because those are some of the things I enjoy doing in my ‘down’ time. When we first arrive, there are these big blow up elephants that look a little like the patterns on dresses from Bali Indonesia. So I hug one. Then the 3 of us do a quick selfie.

Foodies at the Faire

As we continue our search for good artwork, I start talking about pictures that you take and how you can transfer them onto Steel. And as we talk to the artist, one by one, we get more information about who locally can do that for us. For me, that’s a very good ‘find”.

We pass by the Beer Garden where the music is coming from. Fun to see people drinking, dancing and having a good time.

All in all, it is a lovely day, as it is every year. I am forever amazed and how many talented people we have in San Diego displaying the jewelry they make, the photography they take, and their paintings they create. One thing you can know is I am always going back, year after year. How many people want to meet us there? Well that’s up to you. All of us get along great. Doesn’t matter if it’s this years’ group or last. And it’s just a fun Sunday outing. Please do try the Thai Restaurant and let me know what you think!
