One of my favorite things to do is attend a class with someone talking about what is going on inside our bodies. The more I learn, the more I need to learn. It’s pretty exciting!
Last night, Gabrielle Traub spoke about Your Thyroid and more at Jimbo’s. There’s nothing better than listening to someone who is excited to share information, can keep it together in a classroom environment to get everyone out on time, and at the same time has so much to share, that she could probably go on for days! I really love learning so I enjoyed the conversation last night.
Here are some pointers that were my favorite:
- Want to sleep better and be calmer? Try Coffea. In other blogs, they talk about Coffea being good for really bad headaches.
- If you are someone who enjoys nuts, Gabrielle advises that you rotate them…. brazil nuts one day, pine the next, almonds the next. Otherwise you could develop an allergic reaction if you’re just eating the same nut over and over.
- Vegan in search of Calcium in Food? Try Figs, Tahini and Apricots.
- Dulses Flakes and Kelp Granules are good for boosting Iodine.
- Cyanocobalamin can be found in Almond Milk. And it’s basically Cyanide. So not too much of any one thing, and read your labels to avoid products with that in it.
- Did you know the methalated form of Folic Acid and Co-Enzymes processes best in your body? I’ve done a lot of research on this, and after almost an hour I can honestly tell you…. I don’t get it. I guess if you have a degree in nutrition and can picture how things go into the body, it would be easier to understand. I don’t take either folic acid or co-enzymes. So this items doesn’t matter much to me. If it matters to you please take to the internet for more research, and if you actually figure it out? Send me something on it, and I will feature you with an article about the difference between mentholated folic acid or just regular.
- She talked about Copper and how it does not hold bacteria. A toilet seat that doesn’t hold bacteria? lol And just how cold would that be to sit on? I think she also mentioned pots, which is a safer bet!
I want to thank Gabrielle for sharing her info. Her passion is Homeopathy and practices at San Diego Homeopathy.
Happy Healthy Eating,
