New Nationwide Foodies Community Membership

A New Nationwide Foodies Community Membership starts next month. And to the left you will see why you should join us!

Just like we did with our Founding Memberships, the doors open September 15 and they close at the end of the month. And that’s just perfect because it’s in time for all the holidays and all your questions about making holiday meals. Even eating out and attending holiday parties and instead of adding 10 pounds of ingredients your body can’t process, using my holiday game plan, you will either stay the same or loose weight. I have done both year after year. But I think the most important part of the holidays is staying satisfied. Getting to eat tastings of the things you love. Satisfying those cravings and still not putting on a pound.

There are recalls on ingredients and you get those alerts in your free learning portal. 15-20 minute ‘bites’ I call them. Videos for you to watch at your own convenience. And as we talk to each other with online Q & A’s once a month, the answers are found in your portal. Recipes. Concepts. Information that 4 decades of training makes it all come to me naturally. And as a former newscaster, radio broadcaster, I love to research. If I don’t have the answer, and sometimes even when I do, I will give you info on what 2 or 3 experts have to say about a subject.

New ingredient alerts come out all the time. For example, they just found out that the items like chips and salad dressings that claim to be 100%  avocado oil with brands we know like Primal Foods and Boulder Potato Chips have been tested by UC Davis and found to be not 100% avocado oil, even though the label says it clearly.

These are some of the things we talk about online once a month with scheduled group conversations and breakout rooms, where you get to meet four or five other Foodies and talk about the things that interest you most like Cooking, Nutrition, Food & Wine Pairing and even Travel. Everyone has stories to share. There’s nothing better than first hand experience. It’s fun to talk about. It’s fun to listen to.

Some people have called me a connector. And that truly is what I see these memberships being all about. You will have to agree that food brings people together and conversation about food and travel and other things do the same trick. If you’re feeling disconnected and alone, there’s plenty to talk about and plenty of nice people to meet online.

We have face to face events in San Diego and I do want to say that I have met some of the most incredible people this past year. And ladies! No worries! If someone isn’t being respectful, I give them one opportunity to abide by our policies, or out they go! We are non political, not judgmental, and mostly clean eaters, with splurges from time to time. So we talk about great food to order at restaurants and also sometimes, the most decadent!

What is the New Membership offering?

All memberships focus on Cooking, Nutrition, or Food and Wine Pairing. Sometimes it’s just me alerting you that an ingredient is being recalled. You will know more (and I’m sure you agree that knowledge is power) as my 4 decades of training & creating fun events spills into them. I love to teach. As they say: “You don’t know what you don’t know”.  Over time, people have said they learn so much and have fun doing it.

I get my ideas from a once a month online meeting with all members (Founding and our Nationwide Foodies Community Members, opening next month) during our breakout rooms and Q & A Sessions. We all get to discuss and share what we know. 

What I don’t know or don’t have enough direct knowledge on I then (just like decades ago when I was a radio newscaster), do the research and bring into the free membership portal a video or pdf that gives you top experts opinions and suggestion, adding my own, if I have one. 

Our Nationwide Foodies Community gives you all this plus we will ask for new recipes you create (by adjusting older recipes) and feature them into our Chef Marian Kitchen Confident yearly Cookbook. If you are interested in creating your own family cookbook, we walk you through and introduce you to a trusted source to accomplish that.

RSVP Bonus

Founding Members and Nationwide Foodies Community Members have special privileges in regard to local events in San Diego and California (we have a history of going up to Los Angeles, across to Newport Beach and San Juan Capistrano, for special events). Plus as long as you are a member in good standing, there’s only an rsvp for San Diego Foodies and Carlsbad Foodies events. No deposits to pay towards the $400 meetup expense, we incur annually. 

When does the New Membership open?

The Nationwide Foodies Community Members will open September 15, 2026 for 2 weeks at $67/mo. With all memberships you can cancel one week before each monthly renewal with no penalty.  If you are not getting what you need, we can either add content you are seeking, or you can move out of our group to a new mentor/friend. 

And you can step up and run events, Restaurant Reviews …. in your own city. I will train you. No charge.

I’m sure you will enjoy the benefit of having a direct connection to me and our Foodies Membership online. In San Diego, we appreciate having someone at our table with first hand knowledge about the food we eat. We are all experts and share what we know including our travels. And Members just RSVP. No need for deposits, or paying $10 for deposit events. ($30 is your deposit, $20 is returned at the meal, $10 goes to pay for Meetup, if your membership is with Meetup).

What else is coming down the pike?

We also have a passion project called “No Face Goes Un-Fed” to end hunger in San Diego. In addition, I have a Chefs Across America interview series coming up, with my first interviews with Michelin Star Jeune et Jolie’s Eric Bost, (and more recently Lilo) in Carlsbad, Wrench and Rodents’ Chef Davin and both the owner and Chef from The Plot, Oceanside. People have been nominating Chefs to feature nationwide. People nationwide have been nominating chefs for this project.
