Candor by Giuseppe is a lovely small restaurant at the back end of La Jolla, which beats all the traffic on

Prospect and has its’ own wonderful parking. You can eat both indoors or out.
A small group of San Diego Foodies and Carlsbad Foodies came Wednesday for a Happy Hour.
The staff and the owner are kind and caring. That’s exactly what you want from a Restaurant. It’s a really ‘good feel’ experience.
What do you really think about Happy Hours in San Diego, Chef?
Most Happy Hours are not that happy. This one is, for me. 4 people tasting 4 different dishes from $10-12 each, with great wines for just $9 and Discount bottles on Wednesday well …. I must say my group had a lazy, un-rushed experience. That gave us so much time to spend with each other.

The first thing I want you to do is: Order dessert first and make sure it’s their Pot de Creme. So good, you’ll want a second just for yourself.
Second on our list are the Roasted Market Vegetables. Whether it’s a mixture of broccoli, squash or yellow beets, mushrooms and more, they are done perfectly.
Phyllis loves the yellow beets.
Last week, she came in and the Roasted Vegetables featured squash. “Equally good if not better” she says.
Great vegetables are rare at happy hour prices, so bravo!

Mina’s favorite is the Papas Bravas. Mina says: “I don’t know how they make the potatoes this crunchy but I love to pair the crunchy potatoes with the broccoli from the vegetable plate. That’s really good!”
Robyn is really enjoying the flatbread and I agree. Me too! It perfectly compliments all the other dishes we order.
This was a very satisfying happy hour. We recommend it!
I found out that the owner owns many restaurants in San Diego. And we are scheduled for Enoteca Adriano in Pacific Beach on the 23rd. We can’t wait!
With garlic, gusto and gratitude,
Chef Marian🥂
