Meet Chef Marian: Your fun (& always researching) Culinary Guide to Eating Better (most of the time) 🍷🥘

I’m a multi-brand CEO, three-time Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year nominee, and founder of a company featured on the cover of Inc. Magazine. Today, my real passion is how people know me.  Chef Marian.  I am a person and a brand!

I have been teaching people how to cook flavorful, healthier meals without feeling deprived. Eat real food most of the time. That’s my motto! And I help you ease into that idea with solid support!

I specialize in smart ingredient swaps and food & wine pairing so healthy food tastes exciting. Lately, I have been researching ‘cocktails and mock-tails’ as well. I coach and have coached over 3 decades, how to save time, save money and eat healthier, following my game plan. I am now limiting the amount of people I add, to each session or program.

Background

My background began on the east coast. I was a Radio Broadcaster. I love to research. I’m a knowledge junkie. That skill comes in handy. A great example I’m sure you can relate to is: one day canola oil is good for you. The next day, it’s not.  So it’s important to keep everyone updated.

In Los Angeles, the Producers asked me to move from sous chef, to ‘lead’ on what became my first Chef Marian Cooking Webinar and was also paid to cook for celebrities while there.

Later, I moved to San Diego to raise my family. I hosted large gatherings in my gourmet kitchen with Celebrity Chefs, got to watch the process and ask questions, filmed cooking classes, started my blog and founded San Diego Foodies. I later took over Carlsbad Foodies, bringing both communities together for restaurant reviews shared on ChefMarian.com, Yelp, Google, and OpenTable.

Decades earlier, I studied in kitchens abroad and experienced the food of Michelin-star chefs such as Paul Bocuse, Alain Ducasse, Joël Robuchon, and Gordon Ramsay. I got trained and certified where possible. Those experiences taught me how to bring restaurant-level thinking into everyday cooking. I also spent more than a year interviewing nutritionists so I could better understand how food works in the body.

Today, I am doing a video series called Chefs Across America with Chef Marian and an accompanying book.
