INVITING YOU to a Food & Wine Tasting Dinner

(That’s tomorrow for you and me).

I originally thought we would film this but we don’t have enough people registered (under 20 and I needed a bit more to afford the camera crew).

THE GOOD NEWS IS: You can still get tickets last minute! So if you can think of someone you owe a dinner to, this is the event to WOW them with!

Prefer a Vegetarian or Gluten Free Tasting? It’s not a problem. Just tell me when you RSVP!

I have met with Chef Ian to put together a ‘tasting’ menu of over a dozen menu items and voila!  Here it is!

STARTERS

Panzanella Salad with kalamata olives, croutons, roma tomato, cucumbers & oregano vinaigrette

Scallop crudo with California cuvee extra virgin olive oil, rocket, and lemon zest

Roasted tomato hummus on grilled naan

Mussels with roasted shallots, prosecco, & cilantro

Stone pale ale Mac and Cheese with asiago and bacon

Salmon bruschetta with pesto, brie and red onion marmalade

Lobster bisque with cream sherry

Sautéed Shrimp in Spanish bread sauce with basil

Scallion Crab Cake with Creole mustard remoulade

Roasted zucchini, yellow squash, celery root, and parsnips

Roasted kabocha Squash with mushroom quinoa

This event, we are pairing ‘tastings’ of Carpathian Wines. The event is $85.00 a head. And if you think you might like more wine (bigger pours), that’s $125.00/with wine.

This is our High End Event for the year – something memorable.

My goal is always to write a check from my profits, to my favorite charity helping little bits at a time, to do what I can do, because it’s finally hit me I shouldn’t wait around until I get a Network TV Show and have BIG money. I should do what I can, when I can.

This event: we are donating to Table for Two, feeding hungry children in Africa. Why not children in America? Keep your pants on (picture Danny DeVito saying that). We do that too from profits at other events. It’s all about feeding the children for me. I’ve spent ridiculous amounts of money going to other charity events benefiting children. In the core of being me, that’s what seems right. So every event that turns a profit, a charity benefits.

If you have a favorite hole in the wall, a favorite moderate, a favorite fabulous high end restaurant that you would like to see me feature as part of the San Diego Foodies ‘Family of Restaurants’, and enjoy events there every 3 or 4 months ……. go into that restaurant, ask if the owner has a private room for 30-50 Foodies, and will he or she work with me to come up with a great tasting menu? By the by….. if you give an introduction to a restaurant and within 6 months we have an event there….. we ‘comp’ you your ticket to that event. Good deal? For real.
