Vegan Travel in Portugal

It’s summertime and many people are traveling. If you are vegan or vegetarian, food is something important to know about before you go. That’s why I am sharing Vegan Travel in Portugal with you. I remember as I traveled the world for 3 years, I would be way too busy to do intense research on the web. But from America, with not a lot on my plate (lol) I really am finding it easy and fun to do the research!I created this information sheet for my friend Craig, and I thought I would pass it to you.

I have always wanted to see Portugal. It’s one of the few places I feel I have missed, from what other people have told me about it. I know for sure, you are in for a treat.
My daughter is vegan, and I do know that when you go to an incredible restaurant you can call ahead and ask them to put together a vegan meal for you. So being vegan or vegetarian should not stop you.
When I haven’t been somewhere, my ‘go to’ is a michelin guide. the higher the stars of course the better. While traveling, I hit Paul Bocuse, Alain DuCasse, Joel Robuchon, Gordon Ramsey and Tom Aikens. I experienced them in France and England. But you never know who has expanded into other countries. If you hit any of these names… go, go, GO!
You can check Trip Advisor and several other travel companies recommendations. What I am saying here is that no matter where you travel to, cross check lists of recommendations and go to the one that keeps showing up! Especially if you find the same one on a Michelin Star List!
You want to look for Cozinha 100% Vegetariana.
Here’s a more detailed translation of what to ask for I found on this Vegan Restaurant Promotion:

In some cases, dinner was seriously expensive. Serious Chefs. Serious money. But I must say that those dinners are what I have remembered long after I returned home.
