This past weekend my daughter invited me to a ‘pool party’ telling me most of the folks would be around my age. Well, yeeaaah!

And the food? Pretty good, especially this Watermelon Recipe that someone showed up with (and I’m gonna give you the recipe to, in a minute).

That was pretty cool for me – good eats, good company and I got to watch my daughter and future son-in-law play volleyball in the pool, while I shot pictures.

(Shhhh…..she doesn’t know it yet, but she gets that collage for her birthday present this month)! lol

I left around 5:30pm to go out with someone for dinner, then later came back to play piano, sing harmony and have a good ole’ time with people that are real musicians! Right up my alley!

Really made me feel like summertime… and the livin’ is EZ.

Most of what I do involves work…. so to kick back and relax? That was totally needed, and really fun!

So let’s get to this watermelon recipe.

YES CHEF!

So simple. Seedless watermelon (please buy organic), lime juice and zest, black sesame seeds, himalayan sea salt, basil and olive oil. Ohhhh…. one more thing.

YES CHEF?

Jalapeños, baby! You’ve got the sweet watermelon, the citrus and hot peppers. Man! Is that good!

Watermelon has Lycopene, Vitamin C …. and it’s a great way to get your water for the day! Three more reasons to try this recipe!
