As the summer comes upon us and we yearn to do some traveling, I thought you might like to know the James Beard Award winners 2014 to find what winners, exceptional chefs and restaurants may be right in your travels (in America only).

As a matter of fact, I can see you planning a trip across America, visiting each of our incredible restaurants, much like I did as I skipped across England, France and Italy when I was younger (or should I say felt younger) years ago! lol

Mine took me 3 years, but I think you can do it in a month or two, here in the Americas. Lucky you!

I am personally excited for one person on this list of winners: Nancy Silverton Pizzeria Mozza Los Angeles. She started with La Brea Bakery in Los Angeles, in the days when I had young kids and would go there for an incredible breakfast or lunch and has found herself now in partnership with Mario Batali at Pizzeria Mozza, who by the way chaired this years event.

Happy Eating,

Chef Marian
