Environmental Working Group leading the way to good nutrition and labeling ~ from Chef Marian!

Bravo! Environmental Working Group! You sent me this email and I’m posting it here and re-posting it thru my social media sites like ChefMarianPage and ChefMariansKitchen on Facebook.

These are very simple things we do to make loud statements to our decision makers. “We want food that is basic and safe”! You can quote me on that one!

The thing I talk about most often is about not eating chemicals or anything genetically modified, because quite simply, our bodies cannot process it….but how can you do that if they’re not going to label things properly?

DON’T KNOW CHEF!

Well, neither do I… which is why I have personally endorsed this group and their constant petitions to let people in power know that it’s not just one person complaining. There’s power in numbers.

Now, you’ve got to ‘vote your conscious’ and do what’s right for you. But it seems like they’re just making up their own rules as they go, with no regard or consequences.

If you feel like I do? Well here’s the link and information to make your statement!

Happy Eating,

Chef Marian

Major companies are spending millions to make sure we’ll never know if our food contains genetically engineered ingredients. This month, EWG will deliver a petition demanding labeling of products containing GE Ingredients to Monsanto, Kraft, General Mills, Kellogg’s, DuPont and 60 other major companies. There are already nearly 73,000 signatures from EWG supporters!Click here to add your name. The deadline is Oct. 15. Food companies should not keep their customers in the dark about GE ingredients.

You have a right to know!

You have the right to know what you’re eating. Yet major companies are spending millions to fight GE labeling initiatives that more than 90 percent of Americans support – while claiming that they’re telling us everything we need to know about their products.

It’s time to call out Monsanto, Kraft, General Mills, Kellogg’s, DuPont and 60 other major companies on their hypocrisy. More than 72,000 EWG supporters have already taken action. Help us get to 80,000 and really hit the message home!
